I hate to write this review because I had high hopes but I do feel it’s necessary. I paid for this kit and clear coat to use on our DIY 13 foot fireplace. Both my husband and I reviewed the instructions before making any moves we were extra cautious due to already working so hard on the wood work we didn’t want anything messed up. In the instructions it says to mix to “peanut butter consistency” I believe this is where everything went totally wrong. The cement was way to thick making it almost impossible to get smooth with that being said it ended up drying fast with grooves everywhere. Next disaster, we applied the second white coat which completely masked the first coat and we even made that layer very thin like pancake batter consistency. Regardless now it looks beyond terrible just flat white grooved cement with no natural cement look at all so bad it’s actually embarrassing . We used a sander for over 2 hours hoping this would help reduce the white and possibly blend it.. this did not work just cause more labor and mess in the house and at this point I started crying I was so upset. We had to rush order limestone paint and sand down as much of this disaster concrete as possible due to hosting Christmas this weekend. This kit ended up eating up 2 whole days of my time off work and tons of extra work/mess clean up in the end. Unfortunately I can’t say I recommend this product to anyone. The one positive I would say is the kit does include everything you need which was nice.

Went a different route with this product and used it to make a concrete dining room table. Product is easy to use, instructions are clear and concise. Very malleable near the tail end of drying so you can fix some dings here and there. 10/10 would recommend.

The instructions required for the gray mix to be applied before the white one. The white completely over powered the grey mix and the result failed to look like the ones in the picture. I had to purchase a seperate bag of (gray) mix to do a third coat to get the results showned on their images. It was a disapointing experience, but made it work at the end.
